Supported by the Alfred Landecker Foundation, the ASG is being established as an internationally oriented research and education center for public policy, governance, and administrative sciences. It brings together cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, and interdisciplinary exchange with the aim of equipping future leaders in the public sector with the knowledge, judgment, and practical skills needed to act responsibly and effectively.

The Chancellor’s participation in the inauguration underscores the particular importance of such an institution at a time of growing geopolitical tensions, societal polarization, and profound institutional change. The Alfred Landecker Foundation sees its support for the Adenauer School of Government as a contribution to strengthening democratic institutions and the rule of law. The School is designed to provide impetus for responsible governance and to serve as a bridge between academia, politics, and society.
