With the support of the Alfred Landecker Foundation, the Adenauer School of Government (ASG) is being established as an international research and education center for Public Policy, Governance, and Administrative Sciences. The ASG brings together world-class research and innovative teaching to educate a new generation of public leaders who respond to societal challenges with scientific rigor, responsibility, and effectiveness.
Guided by the historical responsibility arising from the civilizational rupture caused by National Socialism, the Alfred Landecker Foundation sees the strengthening of democratic institutions as a central part of its mission. To uphold the rule of law, pluralism, and the protection of minorities, democratic institutions must remain independent, effective, and staffed by outstanding individuals. The Foundation’s support for the Adenauer School of Government at the University of Cologne reflects this commitment.
